Started With the Switchboards Nobody Wanted to Touch
A lot of Brisbane is still wired for a house that no longer exists. Post-war timber Queenslanders. Brick and tile places thrown up before 1980. A ceramic fuse board bolted to the back wall, cotton and rubber insulation crumbling behind the architraves, and not one RCD in the whole building. Those are the jobs this business cut its teeth on.
Then storm season arrives. Every year from about October through to March the sky opens, a surge comes down the street, and the phone starts going about dead circuits, tripped boards and outdoor lighting that has cooked itself. It did not take us long to work out that surge protection is not an upsell in this city. It is maintenance.
The air conditioning side grew out of the same weather. Brisbane summers are long and humid, and a split system here is not a luxury purchase. Rather than hand customers to a second contractor for the refrigerant work, we put ARCtick licensing behind the business. One crew runs the circuit, mounts the head and outdoor unit, charges the system and certifies the lot.

Electrical contracting in Queensland is regulated by the Electrical Safety Office, and every circuit we touch is wired and tested to AS/NZS 3000. The air conditioning side is licensed separately, because handling refrigerant legally requires ARCtick authorisation. We hold both, which is why one booking covers the power and the cooling.
